How is privacy by design achieved?
ForkFolio app is designed to protect your privacy, even from us. Notice that you don't need to signup/create an account with us in order to use ForkFolio app. You can just use it right away.
As you build your portfolio by adding transactions, everything is auto-saved to your browser's local storage. Your data never leaves your device. On top of browser's local storage, we encourage you to save portfolio to your device as a backup, in case you clear your browser's cache. You can then later open your portfolio file and use it.
How do I know my data never leaves my device?
ForkFolio is open-source project, and you can review the code on Github. We are hosting ForkFolio website on Github Pages, and all commits are auto-published.
